Both are the kind of metrics that show up on a re-election scorecard, and both are backed by data the White House itself is publishing, not just claiming.
The same week, though, brought word of a plan to revoke up to 200,000 visas as part of a broader immigration tightening push — a move that will ripple through universities, employers, and families well before any of it shows up in a quarterly report.
None of this is contradictory, exactly. Growth and enforcement are separate policy levers, and an administration can pull both at once.
